We enjoyed our one night stay here. Loved the location as we were able to explore city center within walking distance. The view from our room was quite nice. Room was quaint and clean. Service was impeccable as they were very friendly and ready to serve. Made our stay quite nice.
I very much enjoyed staying in the hotel. Service was very kind, I liked the style and decorations.
Rooms: neat, stylish with big windows and a view on the river/st. Nikolai church. The room setup was interesting, with the wash basin in the main room and not in the bathroom as usually, but I liked it.
One person in my group mentioned that his room was a bit dirty, but mine was fine.
I also enjoyed the breakfast, there were lots of fresh delicious fruits (in November!) and good coffee
Loved the hotel. The staff was wonderful. The room was spacious and comfortable. Overall it was a great experience. My only 'complaint' the towels feel like sandpaper. I wish they would upgrade the towels to aligns with the same luxury as the hotel.

I recently stayed at Sir Nikolai in Hamburg and overall had a positive experience. The location of the hotel is excellent, and the modern design adds a nice touch to the overall atmosphere. The city of Hamburg itself is definitely worth exploring, and the central location of the hotel makes it a convenient choice.
However, there are a couple of areas that could be improved. The breakfast buffet, while generally good, needs attention, especially around 10:00 on Sundays when it was a bit lacking. Additionally, I found that the staff seemed to be working under high pressure, which unfortunately translated into a noticeable sense of unrest for the guests.
One other aspect that caught me by surprise was the closure of the spa, which was not mentioned anywhere on the website. It would be helpful for future guests to have this information upfront.
Despite these points, I still recommend Sir Nikolai for its prime location and appealing modern atmosphere. With a few adjustments, it could truly enhance the overall guest experience.

Lovely room, great location, helpful staff. One of the rare occasions when the room is better than expected, with well considered details and thoughtful design. The residence worked well for our family, and there was plenty of space for the baby crib provided by the hotel.
